Abstract

AIM

We report an unusual case of a male weightlifter with upper extremity venous thrombosis.

CASE PRESENTATION

Thrombosis affecting subclavian-axillo-humeral venous trunk produced by the compression of these veins by the trained muscles of the shoulder girdle (Paget-Schroetter syndrome) has been reported. During the study, a renal carcinoma was detected. Renal carcinoma has rarely been associated with thrombosis in the upper extremities.

CONCLUSION

This case shows the importance of performing a complete study to rule out malignancies in patients with unusual venous thromboembolism.

目的

我们报告一例上肢静脉血栓形成的男性举重运动员的罕见病例。

病例介绍

据报道，由训练有素的肩带肌肉压迫锁骨下 - 腋 - 肱静脉主干导致血栓形成（佩吉特 - 施罗特综合征）。在研究过程中，检测出一例肾癌。肾癌很少与上肢血栓形成相关。

结论

该病例表明，对于有异常静脉血栓栓塞的患者，进行全面检查以排除恶性肿瘤具有重要意义。
