Novel layered NaNiMnO micro-sheets were explored as cathode materials for Na-ion batteries for the first time, which can exhibit electrochemical activity operating at an average voltage of 3.8 V (vs. Na/Na) and deliver a reversible discharge capacity of 121 mA h g at 0.2C rate.
