A study was performed to establish the efficacy of haloperidol decanoate used as a drug to replace other neuroleptics, previously applied orally and daily to hospitalized chronic psychotic patients, clinically stabilized. For this study, 30 patients received one injection of this preparation every 4 weeks, during 4 months. After reviewing the results, it is concluded that this drug is very useful in these patients.
