It is shown that the local approximation for electron distribution function (EDF) determination at plasma periphery, where the ambipolar field is dominant, is not applicable even at high pressures when the characteristic plasma size exceeds the energy relaxation length of the electrons R > λ . Therefore, consistent results can be obtained only when solving the complete kinetic equation in both energy and spatial variables (i.e. it is necessary to solve nonlocal kinetic equation).
结果表明,在等离子体边缘确定电子分布函数(EDF)的局部近似方法并不适用,即使在高压下,当特征等离子体尺寸超过电子的能量弛豫长度R > λ时,在双极场占主导的情况下也是如此。因此,只有在求解能量和空间变量的完整动力学方程时(即有必要求解非局部动力学方程),才能得到一致的结果。
