We have successfully treated patients suffering from skin and soft tissue defect with arteria radialis forearm flap. We have used this method either with proximally or distally vascular pedicled island flap. On several occasions we used forearm flap as a free microvascular transplant. Sensation can be provided through anastomosis of one of the sensitive nerves of the forearm and, if necessary, pedicled or free osteocutaneous flap can be carried out.
