Abstract

This study reports on an environment-friendly renewable and zero formaldehyde-emission urea-oxidized starch (U-OSt) adhesive based on native corn starch. The adhesive was prepared by polycondensation reaction of oxidized starch and urea. The morphology, molecular structure, crystalline structure, shear strength and viscosity of the adhesive, the native and oxidized starch were instrumentally investigated. The influence of processing factors was studied, such as the oxidizer content, the urea content and the addition of titanium dioxide nanoparticle (nano-TiO). The results show the adhesive has an excellent comprehensive performance at urea content of 50% (w/w, dry starch basis) while 5.0% (w/w, dry starch basis) KMnO as oxidizer. The dry shear strength was increased by 16.9% by adding of nano-TiO content of 1.5% (w/w, dry starch basis), and the corresponding viscosity was 4100mPas. It is found appropriate amount of nano-TiO played a complementary effect between adhesive and adherend, which enhanced the adhesive property and stability of adhesive.

本研究报告了一种基于天然玉米淀粉的环保可再生、零甲醛释放的氧化淀粉(U-OSt)胶粘剂。该胶粘剂是通过氧化淀粉与尿素的缩聚反应制备的。采用仪器法对胶粘剂、天然淀粉和氧化淀粉的形态、分子结构、结晶结构、剪切强度和黏度进行了研究。研究了加工因素如氧化剂含量、尿素含量和添加纳米二氧化钛(nano-TiO)对胶粘剂的影响。结果表明,当氧化剂用量为 5.0%(w/w,干淀粉基础),尿素用量为 50%(w/w,干淀粉基础)时,胶粘剂具有优异的综合性能。添加 1.5%(w/w,干淀粉基础)纳米 TiO 时,干剪切强度提高了 16.9%,相应的黏度为 4100mPas。研究发现,适量的纳米 TiO 对胶粘剂和被粘物之间具有互补作用,增强了胶粘剂的性能和稳定性。
