This experiment studied the effects of first feed intake time post-hatch on growth performance, nutrient apparent metabolic rate and intestinal digestive enzyme activities in broilers.
Two thousand five hundred and twenty LingNan Yellow broilers were randomly allotted to seven treatments with six replicates of 60 each. The only experimental factor was the first feed intake time which was 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, and 54 hours after hatching. The whole experiment lasted for 21 days.
During the whole period, the 30 h treatment had the best body weight and average daily gain (p<0.05), followed by the 24 h group performance optimization. Also, the 30 h group was observed to have the best apparent metabolic rate for ether extract (p<0.05) and crude protein (p<0.05) and the highest activities of amylase, lipase and trypsin in small intestine. And the 24 h group was second only to the 30 h group in terms of the above two measures.
These results indicated that the appropriate first feeding time of LingNan Yellow broilers was 24 to 30 hours after hatching.
本试验研究了岭南黄羽肉鸡出雏后首次采食时间对其生长性能、养分表观代谢率及肠道消化酶活性的影响。
将2520只岭南黄羽肉鸡随机分为7个处理组,每组6个重复,每个重复60只鸡。唯一的试验因素是首次采食时间,分别为出雏后18、24、30、36、42、48和54小时。整个试验持续21天。
在整个试验期内,30小时处理组的体重和平均日增重最佳(p<0.05),其次是24小时组的性能优化。此外,30小时组的乙醚提取物(p<0.05)和粗蛋白(p<0.05)表观代谢率最佳,小肠中淀粉酶、脂肪酶和胰蛋白酶的活性最高。在上述两项指标上,24小时组仅次于30小时组。
这些结果表明,岭南黄羽肉鸡适宜的首次开食时间为出雏后24至30小时。
