[Changes in the functional activity of neutrophils during hemosorption therapy of patients with systemic rheumatic and other diseases with immunologic disorders].

Fourteen patients on hemosorption therapy were studied for variations in functional activity of neutrophils isolated from peripheral blood. These variations were evaluated from neutrophil chemiluminescence during adhesion reflecting the generation of active forms of oxygen. A correlation was established between the positive effect of therapy and neutrophil activation which was most demonstrable by day 7 after the treatment.
