Abstract
Our experience has shown total contact casts to be a simple and efficacious means of treatment for neurotrophic ulcers. It requires little effort on the part of the patient and heals ulcers in the shortest possible time. Upon presentation of an untreated ulcer, it is our first line of treatment. Upon healing, proper shoe gear and other measures should be implemented to prevent recurrence.
