Rubidium iron bis-[hydrogen arsenate(V)], RbFe(HAsO), and thallium iron bis-[hydrogen arsenate(V)], TlFe(HAsO), were grown under mild hydro-thermal conditions ( = 493 K, 7 d). RbFe(HAsO) adopts the RbFe(HPO) structure type (space group ), while TlFe(HAsO) crystallizes in the (NH)Fe(HPO) structure type (space group ). Both compounds have tetra-hedral-octa-hedral framework topologies. The cations are located in channels of the respective framework and are disordered in TlFe(HAsO), which may suggest that the cations can move in the channels.
