Abstract

AIM

The aim of this study was to compare the adhesion of glass-ceramic overlays to tooth structure, under the effect of shear forces, using different bonding systems.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

Thirty healthy lower third molars were selected and randomly allocated into three groups ( = 10). Group 1: overlays bonded to tooth structure using Panavia V5 with immediate dentin sealing (IDS); Group 2: overlays bonded using Panavia V5 without IDS; and Group 3: overlays bonded using heated composite combined with a bonding agent with IDS. All the restorations were made of glass-ceramic (Suprinity, Vita). The restored teeth were then stored in distilled water for 7 days and at room temperature. Shear forces were applied using a universal testing machine. Load and displacement were recorded at intervals of 0.1 s. A statistical analysis was used to compare the groups.

RESULTS

The mean resistance to fractures ± standard deviation obtained for the Groups 1, 2, and 3 was, respectively, 15.7440 ± 2.13, 12.0750 ± 1.41, and 8.33364 ± 2.85 MPa. The analysis of variance was highly significant ( < 0.001) allowing us to reject the null hypothesis of equality between the three groups. Comparisons between pairs also provided significant results.

CONCLUSION

Bonding using Panavia V5 with IDS showed a better resistance to shear forces when compared to other bonding techniques. The application of IDS increased the adhesion.

目的

本研究的目的是在剪切力作用下,使用不同的粘结系统比较玻璃陶瓷贴面与牙体组织的粘结情况。

材料与方法

选取30颗健康的下颌第三磨牙,随机分为三组(每组n = 10)。第1组:使用Panavia V5并进行即时牙本质封闭(IDS)将贴面粘结到牙体组织上;第2组:使用Panavia V5但不进行IDS粘结贴面;第3组:使用加热复合树脂结合粘结剂并进行IDS粘结贴面。所有修复体均由玻璃陶瓷(Suprinity,Vita)制成。然后将修复后的牙齿在蒸馏水中于室温下保存7天。使用万能试验机施加剪切力。每隔0.1 s记录载荷和位移。采用统计分析比较各组情况。

结果

第1、2和3组获得的平均抗折强度±标准差分别为15.7440±2.13、12.0750±1.41和8.33364±2.85 MPa。方差分析具有高度显著性(P < 0.001),使我们能够拒绝三组之间相等的零假设。两两比较也得出了显著结果。

结论

与其他粘结技术相比,使用Panavia V5并进行IDS粘结显示出更好的抗剪切力性能。IDS的应用提高了粘结力。
