Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Cystic echinococcosis is an endemic disease in east Turkey. Echinococcosis granulosus is reported as the most common agent of cystic echinoccocus. Hydatid cysts are generally involved in lung and liver.

PRESENTATION OF CASE

37 year old female admitted to our clinic with cough and expectoration of watery material progressing within 3 months. Thorax CT demonstrated a 110*100 mm well defined cavitary lesion in the right lower lobe of the lung. The patient was treated with cystotomy & capitonnage and postoperative albendazole treatment successfully.

DISCUSSION

Hydatid cysts should be conceived in differential diagnosis of pulmonary cystic lesions.

CONCLUSIONS

The basic treatment for cystic echinococcosis is surgery. Postoperative antihelminthic therapy is preferred to prevent postoperative complications.

引言

囊性棘球蚴病是土耳其东部的一种地方病。细粒棘球绦虫被报道为囊性棘球蚴病最常见的病原体。包虫囊肿通常累及肺和肝脏。

病例介绍

一名37岁女性因咳嗽和咳出水样物质3个月内病情进展而入住我院。胸部CT显示右肺下叶有一个110×100毫米边界清晰的空洞性病变。该患者接受了囊肿切开及缝合术，并术后使用阿苯达唑治疗，治疗成功。

讨论

在肺囊性病变的鉴别诊断中应考虑包虫囊肿。

结论

囊性棘球蚴病的基本治疗方法是手术。术后抗蠕虫治疗有助于预防术后并发症。
