Electron microscopic examination of a rare granular cell tumour of the mammary gland that provoked difficulties in the diagnosis was performed. Ultrastructural organization of the tumour allowed one to establish a proper diagnosis and to confirm the hypothesis on the origin of this tumour from Schwann's cells.
