The diterpene isocoronarin D () is a bioactive major constituent of labdane diterpene from the aerial parts of Roxb. (Zingiberaceae), the Thai medicinal plant. Microbial transformation of was performed by the fungus NRRL 1386 to yield three new metabolites, 3-hydroxyisocoronarin D (), 6-hydroxyisocoronarin D () and 3,7-dihydroxyisocoronarin D (). The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques.
