The proteins in membranes and cytosol are often distributed unevenly in space and form the dynamic aggregates and functional assemblies. This property is important for functioning of multienzyme systems. The experimental results indicate the existence of a special type of regulation and integration of cellular metabolism based on the change of mutual rearrangement of enzymes in the cell and formation of transient protein assemblies.
