Abstract

A new xanthone glycoside, 3,5,7,8-tetramethoxyxanthone-1---D-glucopyranoside (), along with five known compounds, mangiferin (), kaempferol (), quercetin (), chlorogenic acid () and diploptene (), was isolated from the whole plants of (Bak.) Ching. The structure of compound was established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses and chemical methods.
