[Early cancer in the head and neck].

In head and neck tumors, there is no definition of early cancer. If T1N0M0, no lymph node and distant metastasis, will be early cancer, it is difficult to detect the tumor at early phase in head and neck tumor except for tongue and laryngeal cancer. Because it is hard to define it at early stage in the tumor surrounding by bony structure or tumor growing endophytically. Although almost tumor of head and neck were easily diagnosed by inspection and palpation, total imaging examination should be done actively for detection of early stage of cancer.
