[Clinical chemistry. Use of clinical chemistry as an aid in the diagnosis of diseases of small pets].

This abstract gives a survey of the currently used methods in clinical chemistry for the diagnosis of diseases in dog and cat. The laboratory diagnostic methods are presented with emphasis on diseases of liver, kidney, exocrine and endocrine pancreas, thyroid, adrenal gland, muscles, bones and joints and the water and electrolyte metabolism.
