AIM
To study the expression and prognostic significance of CD80 in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma. Materials & methods: Real-time quantitative PCR, western blot and immunohistochemistry were performed to detect the expression of CD80 in gastric cancer tissues and matched adjacent normal tissues. Double immunohistochemical staining was performed to preliminary examine the relationship between CD80 cells and CD8 cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
RESULTS
The expression of CD80 was downregulated in tumor tissues compared with normal tissues (p = 0.002). Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that 49 (39.8%) of 123 patients with gastric cancer demonstrated reduced CD80 expression, which was correlated with the tumor differentiation grade.
CONCLUSION
Our data suggest that reduced CD80 expression independently predicts a poor prognosis in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma.
目的
研究 CD80 在胃腺癌患者中的表达及其预后意义。材料与方法：采用实时定量 PCR、western blot 和免疫组织化学方法检测胃癌组织及其配对的相邻正常组织中 CD80 的表达。采用双免疫组化染色初步检测 CD80 细胞与 CD8 细胞毒性 T 淋巴细胞之间的关系。
结果
与正常组织相比，肿瘤组织中 CD80 的表达下调（p=0.002）。免疫组化分析显示，在 123 例胃癌患者中，有 49 例（39.8%）患者的 CD80 表达降低，与肿瘤分化程度相关。
结论
我们的数据表明，CD80 表达降低可独立预测胃腺癌患者的不良预后。
