A statistical analysis of MEDLARS usage by Mexico's National Health Information and Documentation Center (CENIDS) is described. A total of 13,029 connect hours was registered during the period 1977-1986. MEDLINE was the MEDLARS database most frequently used, representing 82.83% of total use. Some 41,563 online searches, requested by 30,775 users, were performed by CENIDS' headquarters staff during this period. Findings from this study will be used to further research on information services in order to maximize the effectiveness of existing resources.
本文描述了对墨西哥国家卫生信息与文献中心（CENIDS）使用医学文献分析与检索系统（MEDLARS）的统计分析。在1977年至1986年期间，共记录了13029个联机小时。医学联机数据库（MEDLINE）是使用最频繁的MEDLARS数据库，占总使用量的82.83%。在此期间，CENIDS总部工作人员进行了约41563次联机检索，这些检索由30775名用户提出。本研究的结果将用于进一步研究信息服务，以便最大限度地提高现有资源的有效性。
