: In response to the rising suicide trend in Hong Kong, the Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention ("CSRP") was established in 2002, with the aim to capitalize on the collective impact of research-support practices to prevent suicides.: The CSRP has since become an international knowledge hub that applies a public health approach and innovative strategies to address suicide-related problems at multiple levels.: The CSRP actively engages in research, teaching, and knowledge exchange with community stakeholders. These effort are associated with Hong Kong's more than 30% reduction in suicide rates between 2003 and 2016.: The rationale for and examples of the CSRP's practices in face of the suicide prevention challenges lay ahead were also discussed.: The outcomes of these practices, which hold great potential for suicide prevention worldwide, have contributed to important academic debates in the field of suicidology.
为应对香港自杀率上升的趋势，自杀研究与预防中心（“CSRP”）于2002年成立，旨在利用研究支持实践的集体影响力预防自杀。此后，CSRP已成为一个国际知识中心，采用公共卫生方法和创新策略，在多个层面解决与自杀相关的问题。CSRP积极开展研究、教学，并与社区利益相关者进行知识交流。这些努力与香港在2003年至2016年间自杀率下降超过30%相关。文中还讨论了CSRP在面对未来自杀预防挑战时采取的措施的基本原理及示例。这些措施的成果在全球自杀预防方面具有巨大潜力，为自杀学领域的重要学术辩论做出了贡献。
