Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy has gained acceptance as a primary means of placing enteral feeding tubes. Our adaptations of the basic technique lead to greater safety for and acceptance by the patient, long-term effectiveness of gastrostomy, and technical ease for the endoscopist.
