This study was aimed to evaluate dietary crude protein (CP) level on performance of body weight (BW) gain, carcass production, and nitrogen emission on lambs.
A total of 12 male thin-tailed lambs (15.2±1.8 kg initial BW and aged 3-4 months) were assigned to completely randomized design for 84-day feeding trial. The animals were divided into three different levels of CP (i.e., 14%, 16%, and 18% with isocaloric diets and 60% total digestible nutrients) with four replications.
Increasing CP level was not significantly affected on average daily gain (ADG), carcass production, N and NO emissions, and efficiency of emissions related to the productions. The average of ADG, carcass production, meat production, meat protein production, N emission, and NO emission was 141.4 g, 11.6 kg, 6.8 kg, 0.9 kg, 53.1 g/day, and 0.3 g/day, respectively. The efficiency of ADG, carcass production, meat production, and meat protein related to N emissions were 119.7 g/kg, 4.4 g/kg, 2.5 g/kg, and 56.6 g/kg, respectively, while NO emissions related to ADG, carcass production, meat production, and meat protein were 2.4 g/kg, 0.027 g/kg, 0.36 g/kg, and 0.34 g/kg, respectively.
It can be concluded that the increase of CP level up to 18% did not affect productivity, N emissions, and efficiency of emissions per unit product because the increase of CP was not balanced by energy content in feed.
本研究旨在评估日粮粗蛋白(CP)水平对羔羊体重增加、胴体生产性能及氮排放的影响。
选取12只雄性细尾羔羊(初始体重15.2±1.8千克,年龄3 - 4个月),采用完全随机设计进行为期84天的饲养试验。将动物分为三种不同CP水平组(即14%、16%和18%,日粮等热量且总可消化养分含量为60%),每组4个重复。
提高CP水平对平均日增重(ADG)、胴体生产性能、氮和一氧化氮排放以及与生产相关的排放效率均无显著影响。ADG、胴体生产性能、肉产量、肉蛋白产量、氮排放和一氧化氮排放的平均值分别为141.4克、11.6千克、6.8千克、0.9千克、53.1克/天和0.3克/天。与氮排放相关的ADG、胴体生产性能、肉产量和肉蛋白的效率分别为119.7克/千克、4.4克/千克、2.5克/千克和56.6克/千克,而与ADG、胴体生产性能、肉产量和肉蛋白相关的一氧化氮排放分别为2.4克/千克、0.027克/千克、0.36克/千克和0.34克/千克。
可以得出结论,将CP水平提高至18%并不影响生产性能、氮排放及单位产品的排放效率,因为饲料中CP的增加未与能量含量相平衡。
