Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe steps for implementing abbreviated breast MRI into a breast imaging practice. Mammographic screening for breast cancer has been the standard of care. However, breast cancer remains a leading cause of death of women. Studies have shown that MRI performed with an abbreviated protocol for women at average and slightly increased risk depicts mammographically occult biologically significant cancers at early stages.

本文旨在描述将简化乳腺磁共振成像(MRI)纳入乳腺影像实践的步骤。乳腺癌的乳腺钼靶筛查一直是标准的护理方法。然而,乳腺癌仍然是女性死亡的主要原因。研究表明,采用简化方案对平均风险及风险略有增加的女性进行MRI检查,能够在早期发现乳腺钼靶检查隐匿的具有生物学意义的癌症。
