The effect of the estrogen-progesteron-combinations Gravistat (0.05 mg ethynylestradiol and 0.125 mg levonorgestrel) on glucose tolerance and plasma insulin was studied before and after tree and twelve months of treatment. In each case ten young fertile women participated in this study with aged 19 to 34 years. The fasting blood glucose and the glucose tolerance did not differ significantly under Gravistat and Minisiston. Reversible changes in the carbohydrate tolerance are most pronounced during the adaptations phase. The plasma insulin levels was no changed statistically under Gravistat and Minisiston.
