Abstract

We report a tandem reaction to realize reduction of carbon dioxide with thiophenols to generate aryl methyl sulfides under the NaBH/I system with 18-crown-6 as the solvent. Thiophenols bearing electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups are feasible in this reaction. Controlled experiment results indicate that 18-crown-6 plays a critical role in six-electron reduction of carbon dioxide.

摘要

我们报道了一种串联反应,该反应可在以18-冠-6为溶剂的NaBH/I体系下,实现二氧化碳与苯硫酚反应还原生成芳基甲基硫醚。带有供电子基团和吸电子基团的苯硫酚在该反应中均可行。对照实验结果表明,18-冠-6在二氧化碳的六电子还原过程中起关键作用。
