Abstract
Health care workers often talk about 'karma' regarding how busy a clinical service will be when a certain physician is on service. While often lighthearted, this construction of karma might have some undesirable implications by shifting our focus from our patients to ourselves.

医护人员经常会谈到“因果报应”，比如当某位医生值班时，某项临床服务会有多忙碌。虽然这种说法往往是轻松的，但这种对因果报应的理解可能会带来一些不良影响，因为它将我们的注意力从患者转移到了我们自己身上。
