To explore the association between the levels of serum folate, vitamin B, and homocysteine (Hcy), transaminase and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in Chinese elderly. A case-control study was implemented between April and October 2016. Elderly participants aged ≥60 with and without MCI ( = 118 separately) were recruited from Community Health Center of Binhai New Area in Tianjin. Spearman's correlation analysis indicated that Hcy was significantly positively correlated with alanine transaminase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and negative correlations were found among Hcy, Mini-Mental Status Examination score, Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised by China intelligence quotient, folate and vitamin B. The associations among MCI and folate, vitamin B, Hcy and transaminase were assessed using multivariate logistic regression analyses. Lower folate levels and higher Hcy and ALT and AST levels were associated with MCI risk adjusted for multiple covariates. Increased ALT, AST, Hcy levels and lower folate levels were independently associated with the risk of MCI.

采用病例对照研究,于 2016 年 4 月至 10 月选取天津滨海新区社区卫生服务中心年龄≥60 岁的 MCI 患者(MCI 组,n=118)和非 MCI 患者(对照组,n=118)。Spearman 相关分析显示,Hcy 与丙氨酸氨基转移酶(ALT)和天门冬氨酸氨基转移酶(AST)呈显著正相关,与简易智力状态检查量表评分、中国修订韦氏成人智力量表智商、叶酸和维生素 B 呈显著负相关。采用多因素 logistic 回归分析评估 MCI 与叶酸、维生素 B、Hcy 和转氨 酶之间的关系。校正多个协变量后,叶酸水平降低、Hcy 和 ALT、AST 水平升高与 MCI 风险增加相关。ALT、AST、Hcy 水平升高和叶酸水平降低与 MCI 风险独立相关。
