Immunohistochemical method was utilized to study the changes of the brain cortical fibrous astrocytes in Alzheimer disease with anti-glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) antibodies. The increased number of fibrous astrocytes was found in the molecular cortical layer and in the deeper ones. Hypertrophied forms of the fibrous astrocytes were found to surround the senile plaques and blood vessels. The increase in the number of fibrous astrocytes in Alzheimer disease is thought to be accounted for by the glial filament accumulation in the protoplasmic astrocytes.
采用免疫组织化学方法,用抗胶质纤维酸性蛋白(GFAP)抗体研究阿尔茨海默病大脑皮质纤维性星形胶质细胞的变化。发现分子皮质层和更深层的纤维性星形胶质细胞数量增加。发现肥大的纤维性星形胶质细胞围绕着老年斑和血管。阿尔茨海默病中纤维性星形胶质细胞数量的增加被认为是由原浆性星形胶质细胞中胶质丝的积累所致。
