Wound tooth extraction is a mechanical injury that traumatizes adjacent tissue. Sponge amnion contains growth factors that can promote postextraction wound healing. Amnion membranes can be transformed into sponge form rendering it easier to use. The aim of this study is to analyze interleukin-6 (IL-6) and bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) expression in postextraction wound healing on the 1 and 7 day after sponge amnion application.
Twenty-eight Wistar rats were used in this experimental descriptive analytical study. Fourteen animals' first right anterior mandible tooth was extracted; then, the socket applied by sponge amnion and sutured (treatment group), while 14 others only sutured (as control group). The alveolar bone tissue of animal was observed 1 and 7 days after extraction and then was analyzed using immunohistostaining to identify the expression of IL-6 and BMP-2. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA with the level of significance ( < 0.05).
IL-6 expression in the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group on the 1 and 7 days ( = 0.000). BMP-2 expression in the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group on the 1 and 7 days ( = 0.000).
Sponge amnion can promote the healing process by increasing the expression of BMP-2 and decreasing IL-6 expression.
创伤性拔牙是一种会对相邻组织造成创伤的机械性损伤。海绵羊膜含有可促进拔牙后伤口愈合的生长因子。羊膜可转化为海绵形式,使其更易于使用。本研究的目的是分析在应用海绵羊膜后第1天和第7天拔牙后伤口愈合过程中白细胞介素-6(IL-6)和骨形态发生蛋白-2(BMP-2)的表达情况。
本实验性描述性分析研究使用了28只Wistar大鼠。拔除14只动物右侧下颌第一前磨牙;然后,在拔牙窝处应用海绵羊膜并缝合(治疗组),而另外14只仅进行缝合(作为对照组)。在拔牙后第1天和第7天观察动物的牙槽骨组织,然后使用免疫组织化学染色分析以确定IL-6和BMP-2的表达。采用单因素方差分析进行统计学分析,显著性水平为(<0.05)。
治疗组在第1天和第7天的IL-6表达显著低于对照组(=0.000)。治疗组在第1天和第7天的BMP-2表达显著高于对照组(=0.000)。
海绵羊膜可通过增加BMP-2表达和降低IL-6表达来促进愈合过程。
