Comparative studies of the anterior eye segments of our patients have revealed an average value of 7.67 mm for the distance of the anterior surface of the cornea to the posterior surface of the lens. This result is of importance for the determination of the lens thickness as regards the prognosis of the different forms of glaucoma, as well as the development of refraction and emmetropization of the eye.
