Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine toxic effects of tranexamic acid (TXA) on the viability of human chondrocytes. Our hypothesis was that TXA damages human chondrocytes. Chondrocytes were cultured from donated human knee joints. TXA was added to these cultures. Toxicity were analyzed by using LDH und XTT Elisa assays, light microscopy and fluorescence microscopy. The results show that TXA damages human chondrocytes . We cannot recommend the use of TXA in hemiarthroplasty of the hip or unicompartmental knee arthroplasty in higher concentrations.

摘要

本研究的目的是检测氨甲环酸(TXA)对人软骨细胞活力的毒性作用。我们的假设是TXA会损害人软骨细胞。从捐赠的人膝关节中培养软骨细胞。将TXA添加到这些培养物中。通过使用乳酸脱氢酶(LDH)和四氮唑盐比色法(XTT)酶联免疫吸附测定、光学显微镜和荧光显微镜分析毒性。结果表明TXA会损害人软骨细胞。我们不建议在髋关节半关节置换术或单髁膝关节置换术中使用高浓度的TXA。
