Abstract
The differential white cell counts produced by the Technicon H1 Autoanalyser in profoundly leucopenic specimens were compared with those carried out by manual differential counting by light microscopy of peripheral blood smears stained with May-Grünwald-Giemsa stain. The correlation achieved allowed the H1 derived differential count to be reported with confidence.
