Abstract

Cancer stem cells represent a rare subpopulation of cancer cells carrying self-renewal and differentiation features in multi-step tumorigenesis, tumor recurrence and metastasis. Proinflammatory stress is highly associated with cancer stemness via induction of cytokines, tumorpromoting immune cells and cancer stemness-related signaling pathways. This review summarizes the major pro-inflammatory factors affecting cancer stem cell characteristics and the critical immunotherapeutic strategies to eliminate cancer stem cells.

癌症干细胞是一种罕见的肿瘤细胞亚群,具有自我更新和分化特征,在多步肿瘤发生、肿瘤复发和转移中起作用。促炎应激通过诱导细胞因子、促进肿瘤的免疫细胞和癌症干细胞相关信号通路,与癌症干细胞特性高度相关。本文综述了影响癌症干细胞特性的主要促炎因子和消除癌症干细胞的关键免疫治疗策略。
