Rainbow trout that were resistant or susceptible to infection were compared with respect to their microbial composition by using 16S rRNA V3-V4 sequencing. The differences occurred in gills, where resistant fish displayed a greater abundance of the phylum and a smaller proportion of relative to those of susceptible fish.
