Effectiveness of basic training session regarding the awareness of Ebola virus disease among nurses of public tertiary care hospitals of Lahore.

OBJECTIVE
To evaluate the effectiveness of basic training session regarding the awareness of ebola virus disease among nurses of public tertiary care hospitals.
METHODS
The quasi-experimental study was conducted in Lahore, Pakistan, from November to December 2015, and comprised nurses working at three public tertiary care hospitals. Baseline and post intervention data was collected through a questionnaire, and was compared using SPSS 20 .
RESULTS
The sample comprised 100 nurses. The mean baseline knowledge score was 3.93±2.519 which indicated poor knowledge. The post-intervention mean score was 13.18±1.192 and the difference was significant (p<0.05)..
CONCLUSIONS
The basic training session regarding awareness of ebola virus disease was highly effective.
目的
评估基本培训课程对公共三级保健医院护士埃博拉病毒病意识的效果。
方法
本准实验研究于 2015 年 11 月至 12 月在巴基斯坦拉合尔进行，包括在三家公共三级保健医院工作的护士。基线和干预后数据通过问卷收集，并使用 SPSS 20 进行比较。
结果
样本包括 100 名护士。基线知识评分平均为 3.93±2.519，表明知识水平较差。干预后的平均得分为 13.18±1.192，差异具有统计学意义（p<0.05）。
结论
