The process of training human resources for health in Orthopedics of the School of Medicine is presented. As well as the evolution that has occurred in the teaching of Orthopedics, that led to the formation of the Single Program of Medical Specialties (PUEM in spanish), we show relevant aspects of its development and current periodic supervision of the hospitals promoting the fulfillment of this plan allowing its evolution and continuous improvement of the teaching of Orthopedics.
