Abstract

The author describes a middle-aged female who sustained a leiomyosarcoma on the outer aspect of her right ankle. He reviews the different diagnostic aids in achieving the diagnosis, and analyzes various microscopic characteristics. The lesion is extremely rare in the foot and ankle.
