A Philippine population was investigated for genetic polymorphism of orosomucoid 1 (ORM1), orosomucoid 2 (ORM2), and alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein (A2HS) by isoelectric focusing. The allele frequencies were: ORM11 = 0.7904, ORM12 = 0.1687, ORM12.1 = 0.0409, ORM21 = 1.0000; A2HS1 = 0.6870, A2HS2 = 0.3130. Compared with the Japanese population, the Philippine population has higher frequencies of ORM11 and A2HS2, and lower frequencies of ORM12.1 and A2HS1.
