Abstract

PURPOSE

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and mindfulness-based psychoeducation given to schizophrenic patients for increasing insight.

DESIGN AND METHODS

This study was conducted as pre-experimental single group pretest-posttest model in a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) located in the city center of Balıkesir, Turkey, with 55 patients.

FINDINGS

In patients graduating from university, posttest mean score of overall Beck Cognitive Insight Scale was higher than its pretest mean score and the difference between the mean scores was statistically significant (P < .05).

PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS

It is recommended to place mindfulness-based psychoeducation programs into routine treatment in CMHCs to increase the insight of schizophrenic patients.

目的

本研究旨在确定社会人口学特征与正念认知教育在提高精神分裂症患者洞察力方面的关系。

设计与方法

本研究在土耳其巴尔西克市市中心的社区心理健康中心(CMHC)采用实验前单组前后测试模型进行,共有 55 名患者参与。

结果

在大学毕业的患者中,总体贝克认知洞察力量表的后测平均得分高于前测平均得分,且平均得分之间的差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。

实用意义

建议在 CMHC 中常规开展基于正念的心理教育项目,以提高精神分裂症患者的洞察力。
