Abstract

An echocardiographic investigation is one of the key modalities of diagnosis in cardiology. There has been a rising presence of cardiological comorbidities in patients positive for COVID-19. Hence, it is becoming extremely essential to look into the correct safety precautions, healthcare professionals must take while conducting an echo investigation. The decision matrix formulated for conducting an echocardiographic evaluation is based on presence or absence of cardiological comorbidity vis-à-vis positive, suspected or negative for COVID-19. The safety measures have been constructed keeping in mind the current safety precautions by WHO, CDC and MoHFW, India.

摘要

超声心动图检查是心脏病学诊断的关键手段之一。新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19)检测呈阳性的患者中,心脏合并症的发生率不断上升。因此,研究医护人员在进行超声心动图检查时必须采取的正确安全预防措施变得极为重要。为进行超声心动图评估制定的决策矩阵是基于COVID-19呈阳性、疑似或阴性的患者是否存在心脏合并症。安全措施的制定考虑到了世界卫生组织(WHO)、美国疾病控制与预防中心(CDC)以及印度卫生与家庭福利部(MoHFW)目前的安全预防措施。
