The Gastric Carcinoma Study Group was established in 1962. Its purpose are two fold to prepare a common guideline for those engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric carcinoma, and to obtain more satisfactory results from the diagnosis and treatment of this carcinoma. Initially, guidelines, were prepared mainly for the surgical treatment and pathological examination of gastric carcinomas. Later, however, other guidelines were prepared for the chemotherapy and radiotherapy of these carcinomas. The Study Group holds its regular meetings twice a year. In this communication, the history and present situation of the Study Group are discussed. In addition, information is given on the results of surgical operations conducted on gastric carcinomas that have been reported throughout the country.
胃癌研究小组成立于1962年。其目的有两个，一是为从事胃癌诊断和治疗的人员制定通用指南，二是在胃癌的诊断和治疗中取得更满意的结果。最初，主要为胃癌的外科治疗和病理检查制定指南。然而，后来又为这些癌症的化疗和放疗制定了其他指南。该研究小组每年举行两次例会。在本交流中，讨论了该研究小组的历史和现状。此外，还介绍了全国各地报告的胃癌手术结果。
