The electron microscopic study of the lungs during the initial and intermediate stages of endotoxin shock has revealed the manifestations of thrombo-hemorrhagic syndrome. Three days later interstitial fibrosis developed. Ultrastructural alterations of microcirculation become the basis for the formation of acute pulmonary failure.
