Hormones are involved essentially in the general biological program of growth and differentiation. An important aim of clinical endocrinology is to recognise variants of normal development which should be evaluated against pathological conditions. As a context, growth in length and pubertal progress may be seen as "key-words" leading to special diagnostic procedures. With regard to some endocrine disorders, data being of principal and actual importance and dealing with diagnosis and therapy, were discussed shortly.
