[Echography in the diagnosis and therapy of hepatic hydatidosis].

Echography is the method of choice for the study of hydatidosis, since it permits the diagnosis of cysts, the long-term monitoring of patients, and via the use of an echo-guided needle, the performance of cytological, chemical and cultural studies, as well as curative treatment by means of percutaneous drainage and sterilisation with alcohol.
