We have described a newborn who had rapid resolution of cholelithiasis after a gallstone was incidentally discovered during sonographic evaluation of a renal mass. This case emphasizes the importance of conservative management and serial sonograms in infants with tumefacient sludge or gallstones without clinical or imaging evidence of biliary tract disease.
