Even though the twelve meridians are connected with five and six organs separately according to the record in ('), the relations of meridians with corresponding organs are different in characteristics. Through comparing the relative characteristics between meridians and organs, it is believed that the relationship is established earlier and is quite closer between meridians and five organs. There is a great correlation between the disorders of five organs and the disorders of meridians. The disorders of five organs are commonly treated by the corresponding five- points of meridians. The relationship between meridians and six organs is established relatively late and the correlation between them is not as closer as that between meridians and five organs. The disorders of six organs are generally treated by the lower -sea points. The different characteristics of the correlation between meridians and organs are relevant with the degree of their integration, the philosophical and cultrual factors and the recognition of ancient masters on organs.
尽管根据《》中的记载，十二经脉分别与五脏六腑相连，但经脉与相应脏腑的关系在特征上有所不同。通过比较经脉与脏腑之间的相对特征，认为经脉与五脏的关系建立得更早且更为密切。五脏的病变与经脉的病变有很大的相关性。五脏的病变通常通过经脉相应的五输穴来治疗。经脉与六腑的关系建立得相对较晚，它们之间的相关性不如经脉与五脏之间的相关性密切。六腑的病变一般通过下合穴来治疗。经脉与脏腑相关性的不同特征与它们的整合程度、哲学文化因素以及古代医家对脏腑的认识有关。
