Angiography by an umbilical approach in two neonates with acute asystole at birth showed large arteriovenous malformations drained by Galen's ampulla. Embolization by balloon catheter was attempted in one child (Pr J.J. Merland). The infants died at 3 and 5 days respectively and data from dissection of brains was compared with those of angiography.
