Diagnostic ultrasound of the neck is used mainly for soft tissue examination. Doppler and B-mode sonography are highly valuable methods for the recognition and differentiation of cervical vascular diseases. The advantage of diagnostic ultrasound of cervical vessels in early detection of scarred carotid stenoses after operation and radiotherapy, for the differentiation of neuro-otological diseases, for the detection of primary vascular neck tumours and surgery of neck tumours is demonstrated in selected patients. Diagnostic Doppler and B-mode ultrasound of the cervical vessels facilitates and improves differential diagnosis and therapeutic management for ENT specialists.
颈部诊断性超声主要用于软组织检查。多普勒和B型超声检查是识别和区分颈部血管疾病的极有价值的方法。在部分患者中已证实，颈部血管诊断性超声在早期发现手术后和放疗后瘢痕性颈动脉狭窄、区分神经耳科疾病、检测原发性颈部血管肿瘤以及颈部肿瘤手术方面具有优势。颈部血管的诊断性多普勒和B型超声检查有助于耳鼻喉科专家进行鉴别诊断并改善治疗管理。
