The authors have followed up by ultrasound two cases of secondary thrombosis of the left renal vein in patients with chronic aggravated glomerulonephritis with nephrotic syndrome and present the echographic findings in the acute stage as well as in the reverse course of the disease. The purposeful ultrasound examination is recommended in patients with nephrotic syndrome for the discovery of the secondary thrombosis of the renal vein which is rarely diagnosed.
